About Wallauer's
             
  The story of Wallauer’s begins way back in 1921. A young entrepreneur named Clarence R. Wallauer opened a paint and wallpaper store. Over the years the business thrived. After suffering a stroke, Clarence recruited his son-in-law Bob Duncan, Sr. to take over the reins. Under Bob Duncan, Sr. the business continued to grow and an additional five stores were opened.

  Bob Duncan, Sr. took extraordinary care to ensure that his son, Bob Duncan, Jr., would inherit the company with intimate knowledge of the business. So, at the age of 14, Bob Duncan, Jr. began working in the stockroom after school under the watchful eye of Charles Westerman, who was the president of the company for many years. Bob Duncan, Jr., now the president of Wallauer's has continued the tradition of expanding the company and to date, Wallauer’s has ten paint and decorating stores located throughout Westchester and Putnam counties  
             
  Wallauer’s is a family business that is based on the old-fashioned values of our Pennsylvania Dutch grandfather, Clarence R. Wallauer. We take pride in the personal attention we pay to our customers, our long-standing relationships with our suppliers and contractors, and our commitment to our talented and conscientious employees.  
             
 

Wallauer’s has grown from a small paint and wallpaper store into ten home decorating centers. We serve the “do-it-yourselfer’s” and individual contractors. We carry only the highest quality products in the business including Benjamin Moore Paint, California Paints, Pittsburgh Paint, Cabot Woodcare Products and our own private label Wallauer Brand. We also offer the finest domestic and European wallcoverings, Hunter Douglas window treatments, draperies, fabric, carpeting, fine custom furniture and reupholstering, along with our personal interior design service..
